Five Parliamentary Committees scheduled to meet today



KATHMANDU: Five committees under the Federal Parliament are set to convene meetings today, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

The committees meeting include the International Relations and Tourism Committee; Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; Public Accounts Committee; Legislative Management Committee; and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee will hold discussions with lawmakers who have registered amendments to the Nepal Air Services Authority Bill, 2081.

The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee is set to deliberate with lawmakers on proposed amendments to the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will consult stakeholders regarding the Media Council Bill, 2080.

Meanwhile, the Public Accounts Committee will hold a meeting with all government secretaries in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance.

The Legislative Management Committee is scheduled for a clause-wise discussion of the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.

Likewise, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will hold consultations with the Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs on relevant matters under its jurisdiction.
