Budget reflects people’s aspirations and national needs: Finance Minister Poudel

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel stated that the newly announced budget is realistic and designed to address both the people’s aspirations and the nation’s needs within the constraints of available resources.

Speaking briefly after presenting the budget, Minister Poudel said, “We have brought a realistic budget that addresses the people’s aspirations and the nation’s necessities within the limits of resource management. The budget emphasizes fiscal discipline, austerity, and expenditure control. It aims to avoid repeating past mistakes and is geared to confront the economic challenges.”

According to Minister Poudel, the budget prioritizes boosting investment, production, productivity, entrepreneurship, and employment. It focuses on efficient allocation, directing limited resources toward high-return programs and projects.

“The budget will boost morale across all sectors of production. It will encourage private sector investment and promote startups, youth, and entrepreneurs,” he added.

Poudel also stressed the importance of cooperation and support from all sectors for successful implementation of the budget.
