Energy Ministry gets Rs 86.01 billion in upcoming



 

KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 86.01 billion to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26.

The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel during the presentation of the national budget in the joint session of the federal parliament.

The newly allocated budget reflects a significant boost in comparison to the current fiscal year.

In the ongoing year, the energy sector was allotted Rs 50.74 billion under the budget presented by outgoing Finance Minister Barshaman Pun, a leader from the CPN (Maoist Centre).
