Govt to provide low-interest loans up to Rs 2 million to youth entrepreneurs



KATHMANDU: The government has announced a new initiative to offer low-interest loans to young entrepreneurs. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel made this announcement while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26.

Minister Paudel stated that educated youth will be able to access loans ranging from Rs 200,000 to Rs 2 million at a subsidized interest rate of 3 percent.

The loans will be granted based on educational qualifications, business registration certificates, and project proposals.
