Finance Minister Poudel announces ‘Made in Nepal’ and ‘Make in Nepal’ initiatives in collaboration with private sector



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has announced plans to promote “Made in Nepal” and “Make in Nepal” initiatives in collaboration with the private sector.

Presenting the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year in a joint session of the federal parliament on Thursday, the minister emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening domestic production.

As part of the broader economic strategy, Minister Poudel also announced plans for petroleum exploration in Palpa, Sunsari, and Dang districts.

The budget allocates Rs 10.14 billion to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, and Rs 7.49 billion to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation.
