Nepal’s economic growth projected at 4.61% this fiscal year



KATHMANDU: The government has projected the country’s economic growth rate to reach 4.61 percent for the current fiscal year.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel stated that Nepal’s economic size is estimated to reach Rs. 6.17 trillion by the end of the fiscal year.

He informed lawmakers that the agriculture sector would contribute approximately 25.16 percent to the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The Finance Minister also noted that Nepal’s per capita income has reached USD 1,517, reflecting a gradual recovery and moderate economic expansion after a period of sluggish growth in previous years.
