Cabinet meeting taking place ahead of budget presentation



KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting is set to take place this afternoon ahead of the presentation of the budget for fiscal year 2025/26.

Prime Minister KP Oli has called the meeting at the Cabinet Office in Singha Durbar for 2 PM, according to his secretariat.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel is scheduled to unveil the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure in a joint session of both houses at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 3 PM.

The cabinet meeting, taking place an hour earlier, is expected to approve the budget before its presentation in Parliament.
