KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has initiated a campaign to engage the younger generation in discovering and promoting emerging tourism destinations across the country.
As part of this initiative, the board organized a program titled Connecting Content Creators with Package Curators in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The event aimed to bring together tourism entrepreneurs and content creators to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of lesser-known destinations. Video content featuring tourist spots—from Api Himal in the far west to the Mundhum Trail in the far east—was showcased, covering under-promoted areas in all seven provinces.
Addressing the program, NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and the creativity of young people to enhance tourism promotion.
He also noted that the board is committed to adopting innovative strategies and collaborating with travel-savvy youth in future initiatives.
Prominent journalist and author Kanak Mani Dixit, also the publisher and editor of Himal Media, encouraged participants to focus on sustainable and high-quality tourism development.
The program featured video presentations from different provinces: Manoj Acharya from Koshi Province, Manish Ruchal from Madhesh and Bagmati Provinces, Hemanta Bhandari from Gandaki, Pallav Pandit from Lumbini, Sirjana Oli (Sirjana Sijju) from Karnali, and Hemanta Rai from Sudurpaschim Province.
Each shared insights into the potential, current status, and promotional needs of tourism sites in their respective regions.
An interactive session between content creators and package curators was also held, fostering collaboration to design appealing travel packages and boost local tourism.
