President to present govt’s policies and programs on May 2



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel is set to present the government’s policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year in a joint session of both Houses of the Federal Parliament on Friday, May 2.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed the House of Representatives about the event during Tuesday’s meeting, reading out a letter received from the Office of the President.

According to Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal, the President is mandated to present the annual policy and program of the government in a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

Speaker Ghimire has requested all lawmakers to be present in the House by 2:45 p.m. on Friday, dressed in the prescribed parliamentary attire.
