Janamorcha announce week-long anti-federalism protest in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janamorcha has announced a week-long protest against federalism in Kathmandu from Chaitra 24 to 30.

During an interaction program organized by Janamorcha Kathmandu on Wednesday, party chair Chitra Bahadur KC presented a concept paper outlining the protest plan.

“We are pleased to announce that the Rastriya Janamorcha will hold a capital-centered movement against federalism from Chaitra 24 to 30,” the document stated.

It also highlighted that Chaitra 24 marks the anniversary of Nepal’s 1990 People’s Movement, which ended 30 years of absolute monarchy and the Panchayat system.

Chair KC expressed confidence that the movement would play a crucial role in abolishing federalism, which he claimed was imposed under foreign influence and was against Nepal’s national integrity, sovereignty, and development.

He emphasized that the movement is not just a political event but a historic and national necessity and urged the public to support it.
