Sher Bahadur Deuba and Arzu Rana reach Singapore for treatment

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and central member Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba have reached Singapore for medical treatment.

The Deuba couple left from Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday night. Upon arrival at Singapore’s Changi Airport, they were taken to a hospital on a wheelchair, though they had walked unaided while departing from Kathmandu.

The couple had been seriously injured during the Gen-Z protests on September 9 after demonstrators attacked their residence in Budhanilkantha.

According to the Nepali Congress, Deuba had received 12 stitches on the back of his head following the attack. He is reportedly still recovering and has flown to Singapore for further treatment.
