Brief rainfall floods PepsiCola town planning

KATHMANDU: A brief but intense rainfall on Tuesday exposed the poor drainage system in the PepsiCola Town Planning area, leaving roads waterlogged and residents struggling with mobility.

Within just 45 minutes of heavy rain, the football ground and surrounding streets in the Town Planning area were submerged, causing major inconvenience to motorists, pedestrians, and local residents.

The flooded streets brought traffic to a crawl, while pedestrians had to wade through ankle-deep water to get to their destinations. Locals expressed frustration over the recurring issue, saying that even short spells of rain continue to cripple daily life in the area.
