Royalist committee declares Nepal in ‘transitional period’ amid growing unrest

KATHMANDU: The Joint People’s Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy has declared that Nepal has entered a transitional period from today, signaling a significant shift in the country’s political landscape.

In a statement issued by the committee’s spokesperson, Swagat Nepal, it was claimed that the republic in Nepal now exists only on paper, and urged a reconsideration of the country’s governance system.

The committee warned that if parliamentary system advocates do not engage in dialogue, the situation could worsen.
