NC President Deuba calls meeting ahead of high-level political talks

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the party’s top leaders today at 4 pm at his residence in Budhanilkantha.

The meeting comes ahead of the high-level political mechanism gathering scheduled by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at 5 pm.

The agenda for the discussion includes ordinances presented in Parliament and the upcoming general convention of the party’s sister organizations.

The ruling party has ramped up discussions as the land ordinance, introduced by the government, remains stalled in the National Assembly due to the inability to secure a majority vote for the past month.
