Two federal parliament committees to convene meetings today



KATHMANDU: Two key committees under the Federal Parliament are set to hold meetings today at Singha Durbar.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee convened at 8 am. The meeting’s agenda includes presenting and discussing reports from subcommittees tasked with on-site monitoring of police detention facilities in various districts across Sudurpaschim, Madhesh, and Lumbini provinces.

Meanwhile, the State Administration and Good Governance Committee is scheduled to meet at 12:25 pm in the committee’s designated meeting room.

The agenda includes clause-wise discussions on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2023, which aims to establish provisions for the formation, operation, and service conditions of the Federal Civil Service.

Both meetings are expected to address critical issues and contribute to legislative progress.
