Binod Bhandari powers Sudurpashchim to victory over Lumbini Lions



KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Royals extended their unbeaten streak in Season 2 of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with a victory over Lumbini Lions in Thursday’s first match.

With this win, Sudurpashchim remain the only team with a 100 percent record this season. They had previously defeated Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers and Kathmandu Gorkhas in their earlier matches.

The loss marks Lumbini’s third defeat of the tournament. In their previous outings, Lumbini had beaten Kathmandu but suffered losses against Kathmandu Gorkhas and Chitwan Rhinos.
