KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, left for New Delhi on Monday to attend the eighth assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
The assembly, taking place from October 27 to 30, 2025 (Kartik 10–13), will focus on clean energy access and regional and global energy interconnections. Minister Ghising is scheduled to present Nepal’s commitments in these areas during the event.
During his departure from Tribhuvan International Airport, Minister Ghising chose not to use the VIP lounge and instead waited with regular passengers before boarding. He traveled on a Nepal Airlines business class flight.
Earlier, Education Minister Mahabir Pun had also refrained from using the VIP lounge at the airport.
Nepal became the 101st member of the ISA in Bhadra 2081. Minister Ghising is expected to return to Nepal on Wednesday.
