Ishwari Neupane to take oath as chair of State Affairs Committee



KATHMANDU: Newly elected chair of the House Committee on State Affairs and Good Governance, lawmaker Ishwari Neupane, is set to take the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday.

According to the Speaker’s Secretariat, Neupane will be sworn in by Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire at 4 pm at the meeting hall of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee in Singha Durbar.

Earlier in the afternoon, the State Affairs Committee will convene at 3 pm to proceed with the election process for its chair. However, as no other candidacy was filed, Neupane, a Nepali Congress lawmaker, was elected unopposed to lead the committee.
