Motorcycle accident in Kavre leaves one dead



KAVRE: A woman has died and two others have been injured in a motorcycle accident involving a family of three in Kavre.

The incident occurred when a motorcycle (Ba 62 Pa 6610), traveling from Baguwa in Kushadevi, Panauti Municipality-3, toward the Ashapuri Temple, lost control and veered off the road.

According to the District Police Office, Kavre, the motorcycle fell approximately six meters, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Sujana Khatri, a resident of Panauti-5.

Her husband, 32-year-old Bijay Thapa, and their 5-year-old son, Biance Thapa, sustained injuries in the accident.

Sujana, who was critically injured, was taken to Shir Memorial Hospital for treatment but was declared dead by doctors during treatment. Her body has been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for postmortem examination.

Police confirmed that the condition of the injured father and son is stable and not life-threatening.
