BIRGUNJ: Two people were killed and one injured in a tractor accident in Parsa district this afternoon.
According to Lokraj Bhatta, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Parsa, the tractor (Na 5 Ta 9941) was en route to Inaruwa from Bagahi, Birgunj Metropolitan City–28, when it overturned in the Bhedaha River at around 1:30 p.m.
The deceased have been identified as Shivu Patel (Raut) and Akash Patel (Raut), both residents of Bagahi. A third passenger, Jayakumar Patel, sustained injuries in the incident.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for post-mortem examination.
