NC purchases property worth Rs 130 million in Sanepa

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has acquired additional land and a building in Sanepa, Lalitpur, to expand and better organize its central office premises.

Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said that an agreement has been signed to buy 19 annas of land—equivalent to one ropani, three annas, and three paisa—along with a three-story house located directly across from the current party headquarters.

The purchase agreement was finalized with General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa, Bishwaprakash Sharma, and Treasurer Umesh Shrestha representing the party.

The property, registered in the name of Amirman Amatya of Lalitpur, will be officially transferred after a partial payment of Rs 50 million. The remaining amount will be settled within a year.

The total cost of the land and house is Rs 130 million. According to the party, the required funds will be raised through internal levies from various party committees and contributions from well-wishers.
