HoR meeting taking place with Economic Survey on agenda



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today under the Federal Parliament, with the key agenda being the presentation of the Economic Survey for the current fiscal year.

The meeting, scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, includes plans for Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel to table the economic survey for fiscal year 2081/82, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The meeting will also include oral question-and-answer segments with ministers from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; and the Ministry of Forests and Environment.

Likewise, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, is scheduled to present the ‘Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2082’.

In addition, Education, Science and Technology Minister Raghuji Pant is expected to table a proposal to consider the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly, according to Federal Parliament General Secretary Padya Prasad Pandey.
