Journalist Sabina Karki injured in clash during teachers’ protest



KATHMANDU: Journalist Sabina Karki, who was covering the teachers’ protest near New Baneswor, has been injured during clashes.

Karki sustained an eye injury and is currently receiving treatment at Tilganga Eye Hospital.

She has suffered serious injuries to both eyes and is undergoing treatment, hospital sources said.

Karki was injured when police used a water cannon during the protest.

On Sunday, police resorted to using batons and water cannons after agitating teachers attempted to break into a restricted area in New Baneshwor.
