Rajendra Tamang returns as head coach of Nepali women’s football team

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Tamang has been reappointed as the head coach of the Nepali women’s national football team ahead of the Four Nations Women’s Championship scheduled for February.

Tamang, who previously coached the team during the SAFF Women’s Championship, returns to lead the squad despite having verbally resigned after Nepal’s runner-up finish in the tournament, losing to Bangladesh in the final.

The upcoming Four Nations Women’s Championship will see Nepal compete against Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, and Myanmar.

The tournament, hosted by Nepal, will be held at the Dasharath Stadium from February 17 to 26.
