Nepali Army celebrates 262nd founding day along with Mahashivaratri



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army marked its 262nd founding day on Wednesday. The event, held at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, also coincided with the celebration of Mahashivaratri.

President Ram Chandra Paudel graced the occasion as the chief guest at the special ceremony organized by the Nepali Army. The Army has been celebrating Mahashivaratri as its founding day for the past two decades.

President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli were present at the ceremony.

The celebrations included a grand parade (arms exercise), a cannon salute, a procession, and various cultural programs at the Army Pavilion.

In addition to President Paudel, other dignitaries in attendance included Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, and Chair of the National Assembly Narayan Dahal.
