Govt working hard to conduct March 5 election successfully: PM Karki

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said the government has been working hard to hold coming election to the House of Representatives scheduled for coming March 5 successfully.

Presenting prize to winners of ‘Dish Home Barhakhari Story Writing Competition, 2082’ organised by Barhakhari Media here on Thursday, PM Karki argued that the incumbent government has given its full attention on election.

She stressed that the government has been working round-the-clock to maintain good governance. There are expectations from all sides that everything should be done at the same time but it is not possible, though the government has been working to the best of its abilities, she mentioned.

The government has been facing pressure from political parties and the Gen-Z, the Prime Minister noted and added that she wants the country not go through the same problem as Bangladesh is facing at the moment.

There was no alternative to developing the country as Nepalis are being deported from foreign lands every day, the PM stressed.

On a different note, she requested the litterateurs to write the story of the GenZ youth who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation, adding every Gen Z martyr family has a different story to share.
