KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions suffered a 22-run defeat against Kathmandu Gorkhas in Tuesday’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2 match after a disappointing batting performance.
Batting second to chase the target of 158 set by Kathmandu, Lumbini was bowled out for 135 in 19.1 overs.
With this victory, Kathmandu now has two wins and two losses in four matches, having previously lost to Biratnagar Kings and Sudurpaschim Royals while defeating Janakpur Bolts.
This was Lumbini’s third game and their second loss, having earlier been defeated by Karnali Yaks and beaten Chitwan Rhinos. The Lions’ batting failures proved decisive in the outcome.
