Home Minister Aryal meets Gen-Z youths, assures fair investigation of protests



LUMBINI: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal met with a group of Gen-Z Nepal activists from Rupandehi on Tuesday to receive a memorandum they had submitted.

During the meeting, Minister Aryal said everyone must adhere to the rule of law and support security agencies in conducting impartial investigations. He assured the youths that the government is reviewing the incidents of September 8 and 9 from different perspectives and that the security administration is working to ensure fair inquiry.

The Gen-Z representatives, Suraj Pokharel, Ravi Shrestha, and Raju Shrestha, informed the minister that some of their peers are still unable to move freely outside their homes and requested the government to create a safer and more enabling environment.

Inspector General of Police Dhan Bahadur Karki, present at the meeting, added that law enforcement will assist those who support the law while ensuring that the innocent are protected and declared not guilty.
