NRB publishes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published today’s foreign currency exchange rates. The buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 142.48, while the selling rate stands at Rs 143.08.

Likewise, one Euro is priced at Rs 164.44 for buying and Rs 165.13 for selling. The UK Pound Sterling is valued at Rs 186.56 (buying) and Rs 187.35 (selling), and the Swiss Franc at Rs 176.64 and Rs 177.39, respectively.

The Australian Dollar is set at Rs 91.90 for buying and Rs 92.29 for selling, the Canadian Dollar at Rs 100.99 and Rs 101.41, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 109.22 and Rs 109.68. The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.09 and the selling rate is Rs 9.13.

Similarly, one Chinese yuan stands at Rs 20.05 (buying) and Rs 20.13 (selling), one Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 37.99 and Rs 38.15, and one Qatari riyal at Rs 39.10 and Rs 39.26.

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.39 for buying and Rs 4.40 for selling. One UAE dirham is valued at Rs 38.79 (buying) and Rs 38.96 (selling), one Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.40 and Rs 34.55, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.64 and Rs 9.68. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 14.93 (buying) and Rs 14.99 (selling), while the Danish krone stands at Rs 22.02 and Rs 22.11.

The buying and selling rates for other key currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.31 and Rs 18.38, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 463.50 and Rs 465.45, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 377.93 and Rs 379.52, and the Omani rial at Rs 370.08 and Rs 371.64. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that the exchange rates may be revised as needed. It also stated that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, with updated information available on the central bank’s website.
