60% of landslide cleared along Muglin–Narayangadh road

KATHMANDU: Authorities have reported that around 60 percent of the landslide debris at Tuiun Khola along the Muglin–Narayangadh road section has been cleared, raising hopes that full traffic movement may resume by tonight.

Excavators and loaders have been deployed from both Narayangadh and Muglin sides, with backup machinery also stationed to ensure uninterrupted work, according to police officials at the site.

“Clearing has been challenging, especially on the Narayangadh side due to large boulders, but the equipment is operating at full capacity,” one police officer said.

With no new landslides reported, workers expect to continue operations throughout the night. If uninterrupted, authorities estimate the road could be fully cleared and reopened for travel within hours.
