Prime Minister vows probe into past corruption



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has pledged investigations into corruption cases that occurred under previous governments.

In her address to the nation on Thursday, Karki assured that past corruption will be thoroughly examined.

She further stated that inquiries have already begun into cash discovered in private residences during the arson incidents of the Gen-Z protests on September 9.

“The concerned authorities have already launched investigations into the cash found in private homes,” she said, adding, “The government is committed to reconstruction, ensuring good governance, and holding elections.”
