NC President Deuba calls office bearers’ meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the party’s office-bearers for Monday morning.

According to Deputy General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar, the meeting is scheduled for 9 AM at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.

It is expected to focus on key political developments and preparations for the upcoming parliamentary session beginning Tuesday.

A major point of discussion will likely be the controversy surrounding Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

The recent arrest of Joint Secretary Tirtha Raj Bhattarai in connection with a visit visa scam has drawn attention to the Home Minister’s secretariat, with growing demands for his resignation. The issue is expected to feature prominently in the meeting.
