NC President Deuba dismisses rumors of power shift

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has clarified that there is no possibility of a change in the power equation.

Speaking to the media at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon his return from Bangkok, Deuba dismissed the rumors of any shift in the political balance.

Deuba’s statement comes amid discussions suggesting the government could collapse following his return from Thailand.

Opposition party leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had informed the parliamentary party meeting yesterday that he would engage in formal talks with Deuba to discuss a new political equation after his return.
