Partly cloudy weather expected today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of westerly and local winds in the country, resulting in partly cloudy weather in hilly areas while the rest of the country remains clear.

According to the Division, hilly regions will see partly cloudy conditions this afternoon, whereas other parts of the country will experience clear skies.

There is a likelihood of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with light snowfall in a few high-hill and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will have clear skies.

Over the next 24 hours, light rain with thunder and lightning may occur in isolated locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with a chance of light snowfall in some high-hill and mountainous areas.

The Division has advised the public to remain cautious, as these weather conditions may have minor impacts on daily activities, agriculture, health, transportation, and aviation.
