Congress resolves to stand united inside and outside Parliament



KATHMANDU:  The Nepali Congress has decided to present itself as a united front both inside and outside Parliament.

The decision was made during a joint meeting of party officials, former officials, chief whips, whips, and ministers held in Singha Durbar on Saturday.

Chief Whip Shyam Prasad Ghimire stated that any internal issues within the party will be discussed in the parliamentary party meeting scheduled for Sunday and Monday. He emphasized that the Congress will maintain unity with a single voice and stance in Parliament and in public.

The meeting also addressed the current state of the government, its ongoing actions, and bills presented or to be presented in Parliament.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak briefed attendees on these matters, while Agriculture Minister Ramnath Adhikari and Health Minister Pradeep Paudel provided updates on their respective ministries’ work.

Ghimire added, “I provided details on the state of bills in Parliament, including their progress and which ones can be passed.”
