Moderate cold wave hits Koshi Province, fog persists in the Tarai

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported the continued influence of westerly winds across Nepal, leading to moderate cold wave conditions in the eastern Madhes and Tarai regions of Koshi province.

Foggy weather has been observed in many parts of the Tarai, causing disruptions in daily life and posing challenges to agriculture, health, transport, and aviation. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions.

In contrast, the weather remains relatively fair in the hilly and mountainous regions, with the Division forecasting partly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Koshi province this afternoon and generally fair weather elsewhere in the country.
