Lalitpur DAO sets special traffic arrangements for festive season

LALITPUR: Ahead of the upcoming festive season, the Lalitpur District Administration has announced special traffic arrangements for public and private vehicles traveling along Kanti Lokpath toward Makwanpur–Sindhuli.

The arrangements will be in effect from September 23 to October 7, aiming to manage heavy traffic and ensure smooth movement during the busy period.

During this period, only vehicles with a maximum of 30 tons and up to 10 wheels will be allowed to reach designated entry and exit points by 9 PM. The entry point from Makwanpur to Lalitpur is Baguwa (Bagmati Rural Municipality–2), while the exit point from Lalitpur is Tikabhairav (Godawari Municipality–6).

The administration has urged passengers and drivers to travel cautiously, considering ongoing monsoon rains and the risk of landslides. Travelers are instructed to follow security personnel’s directions, maintain lane discipline, and stay alert to potential hazards.

These measures are aimed at ensuring safe and orderly movement of vehicles during the festival rush.
