Drinking water testing and purification ongoing in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: Drinking water testing and purification efforts are ongoing in Birgunj Metropolitan City following confirmed cases of cholera.

The Department of Drinking Water and Sewerage Management has mobilized a team equipped with mobile vehicles and necessary materials to carry out water testing and purification in affected areas.

Ram Kumar Shrestha, Director General of the Department, stated that the team has been deployed to locations where cholera infections have been reported.

“We have immediately dispatched a mobile team to conduct drinking water tests in the area. Additional materials required for testing and purification are being sent today,” he added.

According to reports, three individuals in Birgunj were confirmed to be infected with cholera on Friday.
