Wife killed, husband injured in motorcycle accident in Hetauda



HETAUDA: A woman died and her husband was injured in a motorcycle collision last evening in Pashupatinagar, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-9, Makawanpur, along the East-West Highway.

According to the District Police Office, 43-year-old Kabita Joshi of Murali, Birgunj Metropolitan City-13, Parsa, died after the motorcycle (Ba Pra 03-005 Pa 9069) she was riding collided head-on with another motorcycle (Ba Pra 02-045 Pa 5597). The accident occurred between Ratomate and Hetauda.

Kabita’s husband, 48-year-old Prabin Shrestha, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital. Kabita, who was seriously injured, died during treatment at the same hospital, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Aryal.

Following the initial collision, Kabita and Prabin’s motorcycle also crashed into a bus (Na 7 Kha 5010). Police have taken both the bus and the other motorcycle drivers into custody for investigation.
