Nagdhunga-Naubise road to be partially closed from today

KATHMANDU: Starting today, May 24, the Nagdhunga-Naubise section of the Tribhuvan Highway—the main gateway into Kathmandu—will be partially closed for 16 days.

The Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project (Eastern Section) has announced that the 1.8-kilometer stretch from Nagdhunga to Pipla Mode will be closed daily from 10:30 am to 3 pm during this period.

Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu to Naubise will be stopped at the Nagdhunga check post, while those coming from Naubise to Kathmandu will be halted at Khanikhola Bazaar.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes for small and medium vehicles, such as Sitapaila-Ramkot-Dharke road and the Samakhusi-Tokha Chhahare-Trishuli (Bidur)-Galchhi road.

Emergency vehicles, including fire engines, ambulances, and security vehicles, will be allowed to pass through without restriction during the closure.
