KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates for Saturday, as it does each day.

The US dollar, which had seen gains over the previous two days, has dipped slightly. As per the central bank, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is now Rs 136.05, while the selling rate stands at Rs 136.65.

On Thursday, the rates were higher, with the buying rate at Rs 136.73 and the selling rate at Rs 137.33. Similarly, Tuesday’s buying and selling rates were Rs 136.72 and Rs 137.32, respectively.

Among other major currencies, the euro is being traded at Rs 154.51 for buying and Rs 155.19 for selling. The UK pound sterling is priced at Rs 183.67 for buying and Rs 184.48 for selling. The Swiss franc’s buying rate is Rs 164.85 and the selling rate is Rs 165.58.

The Australian dollar is quoted at Rs 87.94 for buying and Rs 88.33 for selling. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 98.50 for buying and Rs 98.93 for selling. Similarly, the Singapore dollar is trading at Rs 105.81 for buying and Rs 106.28 for selling.

Similarly, ten units of Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.50 for buying and Rs 9.54 for selling, while the Chinese yuan has been set at Rs 18.94 for buying and Rs 19.02 for selling.

The Saudi riyal is being bought at Rs 36.27 and sold at Rs 36.43, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 37.33 for buying and Rs 37.49 for selling.

The exchange rate for the Thai baht is Rs 4.17 for buying and Rs 4.19 for selling. The UAE dirham is trading at Rs 37.04 for buying and Rs 37.20 for selling.

Likewise, the Malaysian ringgit is priced at Rs 32.16 for buying and Rs 32.30 for selling. For 100 South Korean won, the rate is Rs 9.94 for buying and Rs 9.98 for selling.

The Swedish kronor has been fixed at Rs 14.28 for buying and Rs 14.34 for selling, and the Danish kronor at Rs 20.71 and Rs 20.80, respectively.

The Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 17.37 for buying and Rs 17.45 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest-valued currency on the list, trading at Rs 443.61 for buying and Rs 445.56 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 360.85 and sold at Rs 362.44, while the Omani rial is priced at Rs 353.40 for buying and Rs 354.96 for selling.

Meanwhile, the rate for 100 Indian rupees remains at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
