PM Cup: Three matches to be played today



KATHMANDU: Three matches are set to take place in the Prime Minister’s Cup One-Day Men’s National Cricket Tournament on Monday.

Gandaki Province will face Madhesh Province at the Siddharthnagar Ground, while APF Club will take on Lumbini Province at the Bhairahawa Ground.

Meanwhile, Bagmati Province will clash with Karnali Province at the Fapla Cricket Ground. All three matches will begin at 9 a.m.

Out of the 10 teams participating in the tournament, Nepal Police Club leads the table with 14 points, having won all seven of its matches.

The Army Club, which has lost one match in eight games, is in second place, also with 14 points, but behind on net run rate.

APF Club holds third place with 10 points, securing five wins out of seven matches while losing twice.

Karnali Province and Lumbini Province, both with eight points, occupy the fourth and fifth spots. However, Lumbini has played eight matches, while Karnali has played seven.

Bagmati Province and Sudurpaschim Province are tied with six points each. Bagmati, currently in sixth place, has played seven matches, whereas Sudurpaschim, in seventh place, has played eight.

Madhesh Province, with just two wins from six matches, sits in eighth place with four points.

At the bottom of the table are Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, both having managed just one win from eight matches, earning only two points.
