Asian Cup Qualifiers: Nepal defeated by Syria



KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to Syria in their opening match of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Nepal was defeated 4–2 by Syria in the match held on Saturday at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.

Placed in Group ‘G’, Nepal will face Oman on Monday, followed by matches against Afghanistan and hosts Myanmar.

The winner of the group will qualify for the Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia next year.
