Landslide blocks Mugling–Nagdhunga road

KATHMANDU: Traffic along the Mugling–Nagdhunga road section has been completely obstructed after a landslide struck near Jawaang Khola on Sunday night.

According to the Bharatpur Road Division, the landslide debris has blocked both lanes of the road. Officials said efforts to clear the debris have been delayed as vehicles failed to maintain lane discipline, making it difficult for machines and workers to reach the affected site.

The Road Division has urged motorists to use alternative routes until the road is cleared, citing that even heavy equipment has not yet reached the area.

Meanwhile, on the Mugling–Narayanghat road section, vehicular movement continues despite recurring dry landslides near Tuin Khola.

The Road Division in Bharatpur stated that machines stationed on-site have been clearing debris regularly, allowing traffic to flow smoothly.
