Water testing team deployed in cholera-affected areas of Parsa



KATHMANDU: A team has been mobilized to test drinking water in cholera-affected areas of Birgunj, Parsa.

According to Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management Director General Ram Kumar Shrestha, a mobile van team equipped with necessary materials has been dispatched.

“Following the instruction of the Minister for Water Supply, we have deployed a technical team with required equipment to the affected areas. The team has already begun water testing and awareness activities,” he said.

On Friday, three cholera cases were confirmed in Birgunj.

Meanwhile, Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav also visited the affected areas to assess the situation, his secretariat informed.
