Water level rises in Bagmati; public urged to remain alert



KATHMANDU: The water level in the Bagmati River has crossed the alert mark at the Gaurighat Dam Monitoring Center in Kathmandu due to continuous rainfall.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the river level continues to rise and has exceeded the alert threshold, prompting the need for caution.

The Department has urged people living near the riverbanks and those traveling along the riverside areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions through the night.
