Monsoon system continues to influence Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: Monsoon winds are continuing to affect weather conditions across the country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently near its average position.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy throughout Nepal. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas, particularly in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few other parts of the country.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, conditions will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and thunder in several places across all provinces.
