Both Houses of Federal Parliament scheduled to meet today



KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today. The meeting will take place at 11:00 AM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor. The agenda includes responding to and clarifying questions raised during discussions on the Appropriation Bill.

As part of the Appropriation Bill, 2082, relevant ministers will address questions concerning various ministries, including Forest and Environment; Federal Affairs and General Administration; Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Defense; Agriculture and Livestock Development; Health and Population; Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; and Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Ministers will also respond to questions related to the Ministries of Youth and Sports; Physical Infrastructure and Transport; Women, Children and Senior Citizens; Industry, Commerce and Supplies; Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation; Drinking Water; Education, Science and Technology; Foreign Affairs; Labor, Employment and Social Security; Home Affairs; and Communications and Information Technology.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly is scheduled to convene at 1:15 PM. During the session, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is slated to present the Annual Report of the National Information Commission for the Fiscal Year 2080/81.

Additionally, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung will table a proposal for consideration of the Cinema Bill, 2081.
