Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Friday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 137.31, while the selling rate is NPR 137.91.

For the European euro, the buying rate is NPR 155.28 and the selling rate is NPR 155.96. The UK pound sterling is being bought at NPR 184.25 and sold at NPR 185.05. The Swiss franc stands at NPR 166.16 for buying and NPR 166.89 for selling.

The Australian dollar’s buying and selling rates are NPR 88.26 and NPR 88.64 respectively, while the Canadian dollar is being bought at NPR 99.05 and sold at NPR 99.48. The Singapore dollar is listed with a buying rate of NPR 106.35 and a selling rate of NPR 106.82.

For other currencies, the rates are as follows: 10 Japanese yen at NPR 9.56 (buying) and NPR 9.60 (selling); one Chinese yuan at NPR 19.06 and NPR 19.14; one Saudi Arabian riyal at NPR 36.61 and NPR 36.77; and one Qatari riyal at NPR 37.68 and NPR 37.84.

The Thai baht is valued at NPR 4.18 for buying and NPR 4.20 for selling. The UAE dirham is listed at NPR 3.38 and NPR 3.55, while the Malaysian ringgit is NPR 3.12 and NPR 3.26.

The South Korean won is priced at NPR 9.94 for buying and NPR 9.98 for selling. The Swedish kronor stands at NPR 14.31 and NPR 14.37, and the Danish kronor at NPR 20.82 and NPR 20.91.

Additionally, the Hong Kong dollar is being bought at NPR 17.55 and sold at NPR 17.62. The Kuwaiti dinar is set at NPR 447.45 for buying and NPR 449.41 for selling.

The Bahraini dinar is NPR 364.19 and NPR 365.78, while the Omani rial is NPR 356.67 and NPR 358.23.

Additionally, the exchange rate for one hundred Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160 for both buying and selling.

The central bank notes that these rates are subject to change as needed. Commercial banks may offer different rates, and updated figures can be accessed via the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
