Group led by Sudan allegedly enters Kisan Shrestha’s house without permission, threatens to burn it again

BARA: A group led by Sudan Gurung, who claims to be a leader of the Gen-Z movement, allegedly entered the residence of CPN-UML leader Krishna Kumar Shrestha (Kisan) in Jitpur Simara, Bara, without permission.

The incident reportedly occurred while efforts were underway to restore calm following the clashes in Simara on November 19 and 20. Sudan’s group is accused of entering Shrestha’s home and issuing threats.

According to Shrestha, who is currently in Kathmandu for party-related work, Sudan Gurung entered his Auraaha-based house around 11 a.m. today and issued threats in an intimidating manner.

Shrestha said the group warned his staff and workers to stop the reconstruction of the house that had been set on fire on September 9. He further claimed the group threatened to burn the house again and hinted that harm could come to political leaders associated with him.

Shrestha urged the federal and local governments to take immediate action, saying activities carried out under the name of “Gen-Z” have created fear in the area and that assurances of peace and security are urgently needed.
